About The Event
Open Block is a submission-based open mic featuring 10–12 selected artists.
Each performer will have 3–5 minutes to share one piece aligned with the theme Audacity of the Femme Voice. This can include poetry, music, storytelling, movement, or interdisciplinary work.
Because this is a curated open mic, artists are selected in advance through a short submission process. This allows us to shape a cohesive, dynamic evening while still centering emerging and community voices.
The night will move intentionally — balancing softness and sharpness, intimacy and audacity — creating a shared arc rather than a random lineup.
Audience members are invited to witness, reflect, and engage in a space that is BIPOC and queer-centered, rooted in care and collective expression.
