Founders of the Color Block
Building Space Together
Thee Color Block exists to give artists, makers, and creatives a place to show up fully. It began with a shared vision: a space where creativity, presence, and connection thrive.
Meet The Founders

Teal
she/they
Teal creates spaces where artists and creatives feel seen, heard, and free to show up fully. With a background in storytelling and curation, she believes that creativity thrives in community and that presence matters more than polish. At Thee Color Block, she nurtures a space where every participant adds to the whole, weaving connection, energy, and shared expression into every event. Teal is committed to building environments that invite experimentation, collaboration, and authentic creative engagement.

Jarobi
he/him
Jarobi brings people together through art, storytelling, and shared cultural experience. With a background in documentary filmmaking and cultural production, he believes creative gatherings can spark dialogue, deepen relationships, and open new ways of seeing the world.
At Thee Color Block, he works to cultivate a creative ecosystem where relationships grow organically and where every participant contributes to the collective energy of the room. For Jarobi, Thee Color Block is both a creative platform and a living community—one that affirms that art is not only something we witness, but something we build together.
Honoring the Beginning
Thee Color Block started with Ras Badejo, whose early contributions helped shape the community. The space continues to grow under the current team and everyone who participates.
